Carina Tien, the Founder of  The Voice Room^TM  has been in performing arts since 1987.  She has maintained a private practice, teaching voice and speech since 1992 and has established The Voice Room^TM in 2003.

Carina is an extremely versatile voice specialist with more than 15 years of teaching experience as well as immense knowledge on the art of singing and performing, and has been a regular performer for The Esplanade since 2003.  

With her experiences and passion in performing arts, she is willing to share her skills and knowledge with her students.  She has students from different nations, such as France, Philippines, Thailand, United Kingdom, China as well as neighbourhood country, Malaysia.

Whether you want to be a professional speaker/vocalist or just to learn the unique vocal techniques to enhance your vocal skills, you sure will benefit from her workshops and lessons.

Apart from her experiences in performing arts, Carina has also over 20 years of corporate experiences in various multinational companies. Her experience and exposure include customer relations, human resources, training & development, sales administration, secretarial, advertising and business development.

Not only Carina is an expert in voice coaching, she is also a Certified Corporate Trainer specializes in communication skills training. Her workshops are highly experiential with games, role-plays and hands-on activities that make the learning for her participants fun and enriching.

Often regarded as a powerful presenter, Carina takes keen interest in research and development of workshops, keeping in mind various organizational behavior and work habits of participants. Her conviction with regard to potential in every human being to excel beyond his imagination is very strong and forms the basis of her training. The key to success is the belief in themselves.  She evokes a positive self-response within individuals, so that they start believing in their own capabilities. It gives her immense pleasure to witness her audience’s paradigm shift during and after the workshops.

Her mission in life is to assist individuals flourish and progress even during extreme stress and adverse circumstances and also be a source of positivity and inspiration for the community and colleagues around them.

One of her latest training initiatives is the launching of the Voice Teaching Mastery Program (VTM^TM).  This is a unique “Trainer-the-Trainer” program specially designed for individuals who are keen to learn and build the skills in voice teaching (for performing arts).  The aims of the program are to promote: Self-Confidence, Opportunities, Entrepreneurship and Self-Achievement.

Carina received her Degree in Business & Human Resource Management from UK.  She also processes a Diploma in Communication Studies and a Diploma in Image Consulting, awarded by The Institute of Image Consulting^TM, UK. 

A certified teacher/trainer, Carina is also awarded with a Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from UK and an Advance Certificate in Training & Assessment (ACTA), accredited by the Workforce Development Agency, Singapore. 

Carina is a Certified Master Life Coach and NLP Practitioner.  She is effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin.
