What is Communication?
According to Professor Albert Mehrabian’s research on
communication, there are 3 components in communication:
Verbal Communications is understood as spoken
communication and is commonly known as “Verbal”.
Non-Verbal Communication is understood as the process
of communication through sending and receiving wordless
messages, also known as “Visual”. These could be
through gesture and touch, by body language or posture as
well by facial expression and eye contact. Hence personal
image and etiquette, such as clothing, hairstyles and visual
presentation play an important role here.
Another component in Non-Verbal Communication is
speech, which includes voice quality, emotion and
speaking style, rhythm, intonation and voice expression.
This component is also known as “Voice”.
The Voice Room offers n-house communication programs
that aim to develop and enhance individuals’ overall
communication skills.
