Our Mission:

To provide cutting-edge vocal information and training for singers, teachers, corporations and those who
work with or care for their voice. The trainings we provide are based upon the latest voice science as well
as more than 10 years professional experience in the field of voice training and care, most particularly in
professional singing.

We believe that the human voice is not limited and that everyone can have a beautiful, expressive voice,
no matter what previous experience may have been. We know that everyone can train his or her voice to
be flexible, powerful and persuasive, and we believe that full vocal expression leads to deeper personal
fulfillment.

We believe that music, especially vocal music, is healing to do and to hear and that all people have equal
and free access to the musical instrument that's inside their own body‚ their voice.

Carina Tien, the Founder cum Principal Trainer has been in the entertainment business since 1987.  She
has maintained a private practice, teaching singing since 1992 and had established The Voice Room in
2003.  She has taught students from various professions such as teachers, HR practitioners, lawyers,
undergraduates, business entrepreneurs etc.

The Voice Room; offers corporate workshops that cover essential information concerning basic vocal
technique. The lesson plan includes maintaining and optimizing breath control, accessing tone and
resonance, the balance between control and flexibility and the value of repeated and regular vocal
workouts.

Primary focus of the workshop is to understand the fundamentals of vocal projection. This is a whole
body approach using a combination of discussion, relaxation, movement, breath work, sound and
technique. Participants will be involved in vocal/breathing workouts and have fun in the process!
